Hi all - first post here! :D

I'm going to Boston for 6 weeks (off to see some m8s [8D]) in March and figured I'd treat myself to UCS on the way out and fly PE on the return leg. I'm going to book one of the Z fares and I'd like to know if it's possible to invite someone into the Clubhouse with me? I heard that it was but I'm not sure if that only applies to J pax only.

I'm travelling by myself and figured that I might ask some hot girl who's in econ/ PE to join me. Hopefully strike up a convo et voila! ;)

Anyone ever tried this before???[:p]

All UC fare codes may take a guest into the clubhouse. Never tried it myself other than with Mrs D before she became Au herself but I'll be fascinated to hear post-event how the logistics went. Meeting a stranger travelling Economy/PE when they're in a different queue before you get to the clubhouse and all that ;)

Perhaps Vitriol01 has prior access to the passsenger manifest, or will just audition at the entrance to the Zone in T3:D

Vitriol01,

You might want to hang around the Economy checkin and ask any lucky ladies!

Most people are fairly dubious of freebies though so you might not have an easy time giving your guest place away!!

Ok thanks. :)

Hehe, yeah was just going to hang around in front of economy. :D I guess I'll need to sell it right so I don't come across as some weirdo. [:0][:p]

That's a sell I'd LOVE to see 'cos I can't imagine how you'd possibly do it :D;) Wonder if the Clubhouse has etchings you could offer to show them? ;)

I can just imagine you coercing someone you think is a single female passenger only to find her partner coming back from the toilets or somewhere...

If someone approached me and seemed genuine, I'd probably say yes. However, it's a pretty hard sell, and I'm not sure Virgin staff would appreciate a passenger hanging around asking women to come to the ClubHouse with them...

You've got to give him credit for trying.....

You may have missed a small factor though, once you yourself in the Clubhouse, you won't be sat still long as there is plenty of things to look at and do: V.Touch treatment, food, drink, shoeshine, look out the conservatory, and as of next year even more cool things to do! This is no typical sit down business lounge! And given the option of loitering around Check-In waiting or quality time up in the Clubhouse, err Clubhouse wins!

I remember flying out with two colleagues and they were arguing who was going to go into the Clubhouse with me, male best friend and nice female friend I quite like - mmm, tough one ;) Fortunately another friend who is FC Au was flying out too, so both got access to the Clubhouse in the end.

Thanks,
Richard

Yeah, I hope it doesn't tick Virgin off heh. I'm going to try it though if there is some stunner checking in on her own. You never know - she might be single... ;)

Good point about having loads of things to do Richard. I used to use my Air Miles (before they became useless) to pay for BA Club across to NY a few times when they did the Shrinks the World promos. Alas, when I entered the Terraces, all I did was take a shower and have a coffee.

Am looking forward to trying the Clubhouse. :D
