The 346 hasnt even touched down in Aussie yet and already plans are afoot to make the new LHR-SYD service even better!

I wonder how long before FC miles on DJ??? And also how long until the first VS service to NZ! Vs to SYD then DJ to CHC/WLG!!!

Shame it won't be ready for my trip next week where I'm transferring in Sydney to Coolangatta (surfin' dude - not!).

But I wonder how far the arrangements will go. At SYD there is no airside transfer between the international and domestic terminals. The only transfer options are landside. Here's the clincher. It's not free! It's either (a) a $4 train ride, (b) a $1.80 bus ride or (c) a taxi ride. Anyone know of another airport that imposes fees for inter-terminal travel?

DJ, as a no-frills outfit, offer no baggage interlining. You need to collect your bags, carry them to the next terminal and re-check them.

DJ also recommend a marathon 2.5 hour transfer time transferring between international and domestics.

And they call this progress? At least it seems from the DJ site they're addressing the transfer issue.

Business Class and full service Economy on domestics are a dying breed in Australia it seems. How things have changed! Less than ten years ago Oz domestic flights had three classes.

My only plus is that as I'm flying UC I've booked a limo to transfer me between terminals - seriously.
