Just 'discovered' this fantastic sight but found out some depressing information !
Looking at the 'reviews' for the seats we have on our outward flight doesn't make good reading !
On our we have 36 a b c and 37 a b c and the reviews are to say the least very poor !
Are these seats as bad as they are made out to be ?
And should we consider trying to change them, although I doubt we will be able too as we go within three weeks !.

Ted,
Do you have a Flying Club account and who did you book through?
If you have a FC account and booked either through Virgin Travelstore, Virgin Holidays or direct with Virgin Atlantic, you could possibly change your seats online under "your flights" or if you booked with another holiday company and have a flying club card, ring them up and see if you can change you seats.
If you are not a Flying Club member, you can join on line at the Virgin Atlantic web site (linki on this web site) and then try to change your seats :)

Alan thats a great point, I managed to check my seats and order a veggie meal for my son so maybe I might be able to alter them.

Ted,
I cannot really comment on the seats, as I have only ever flown in economy with Virgin once and as that was with a 3 month old baby, we had bulkhead seats.
We normally fly Premium Economy/Club Orlando, but I am sure one of the frequent Virgin users can come back to you (and knowing this forum it will not be long!) :D

where are you flying from and to??

Row 37 ABC has the washrooms close behind, but really is a standard economy seat.

Try to avoid rows 40 - 46 as usually the meal choice will be reduced to just one or two choices!! due to previous passenger selection.

Kids meals from the UK are fantastic and are currently burgers and chips u may be able to order a kids vegan meal!!

As has been said:

Firstly - use Manage your Flight on the VS site to see where your seats are and move as required.

or

Secondly - just call Virgin Atlantic - have the seat guide in front of you - and ask for specific seats

or

Thirdly - join Flying Club via the VS site and then call them to change seats!!!

I have flown Economy to Orlando a number of times ( I am assuming thats where youre going!!!) and my tips would be:

Be as close to the front as you can so you can get off and get to immigration quickly,

Sit in the rows of 4 as I belive they have slightly more leg room than the 3's!!

So personally - I woudl get further forward.

On the return its a bit different - if you want to get some sleep then I usually go for seats to the rear of the aircraft 61 - 64 in the 2's is nice!!

Anyway - have fun and as usual - GET ALL ADULTS TO JOIN THE FLYING CLUB!!!!

Have fun!!!!
