First time posting, been watching for a long time. We will be on the VS008 LAX - LHR July 25th, does freeway know what plane that might be....thanks;)

Its G-VHOT

Does this mean we'll be on G-VHOT on VS007 on July 24th? I've looked at the Which Aircraft? pages and the pattern seems to be that the plane which flies as VS007 to LAX flies back to LHR as VS008. Have I got this right?

Yup, that's correct logic. So unless there's an aircraft switch that'll be G-VHOT too.

I'm not sure if anyone is checking anymore, but if someone has access, could they let me know what plane will be flying the VS12 BOS-LHR route on 9 August. Right now the availability tool says standard 744, but I want to make sure it's not an LGW 744 that has been flying that route from time to time over the last few weeks

I understand that it's been XLG again for the past few days. However, it's possible that FAB is back from Dublin by then.

Thanks Mike-smashing. I have a suite going out (not sure which aircraft) so maybe they are rotating the planes each week. My outbound plane just recently changed to a suite config (in fact the seatmap on the VS website still shows J2000, but FC said it was in fact a suite plane) so maybe I'll still be lucky. However, I got a really good Z class fare so the fact I get a suite for one of the legs is good enough for me (although to be honest the suite would be a lot more useful on the return when I need to sleep)

I suspect he may be away as he normally responds very quickly!!:D

So I guess you'll have to be patient!!;)

It's very amusing - have you seen "Shrek 2"? When they are on the way (in a carriage to the "Land far, far away"), donkey is REALLY impatient... your threads remind me of it (very funny0).

Yes I've seen it!!!! Don't mind being likened to the donkey as long as I don't "look like him":)

Promise I won't ask again - just turn up at the airport like a good little girl and get on the plane - it's irrelevant really what it is anyway as long as it has wings!!!! (and lots of champagne of course!)
[:I]:););)

Don't worry too much if you don't have a chance to post Freeway (appreciate that you are busy) - am on this flight on Thursday morning. My turn to be excited! ;)

Annemarg - donkey is very cute (and am sure you look nothing like him), can you do the lip smacking thing (that he did in the carriage [}:)] )? You could make your family insane by doing impressions of him before your trip ;)

We are flying into LAX, then driving down to San Diego (3 nights), then driving to Las Vegas (6 nights), then back to Orange County (in-laws) for 7 nights.

Have always fancied Hawaii, but the flights have put me off. So will be interested in your experiences (trip report). Who are you flying to Hawaii? Are you flying Business Class on those flights as well?

Hopefully very little redeye, very few stiff or sore joints and a lot more refreshed! Enjoy your flights/trip [8D]

I dont want to spoil this thread for anyone however, finding out which aircraft you are due to fly on could be a security issue.

I think this is confidential information really, as making this information known to 'anyone out there' could mean a specific threat to an aircraft on a specific date on a specific route.

So I would ask that people dont ask for the aircraft info but just to wait until the day.

I hope this makes sense and people understand.

If you know the plane you can pull schematics and plan accordingly with more accuracy than you could on an indication of likely model. That makes sense - and this is a public forum with no way of verifying that people are who they say they are.
