Panic setting in ...

Had a look on Vs website at flights to LAS in PE next summer (June actually) and i get this when i go to choose a flight ....

London (LHR)
10 JUN 11:00 San Francisco (SFO)
10 JUN 13:50 VS019 Premium Economy (lowest)

San Francisco (SFO)
10 JUN 15:40 Las Vegas (LAS)
10 JUN 17:04 VS2399 Premium Economy (lowest)

I cant find a direct flight for the dates i want. Is this an error on the VS website? Or are VS doing away with their direct LAS flights?

I thought it might be to do with the suite re-fits too?

Anyone shed any light ????

Tried a date in July, system came up with the direct flights but also showed three options via LHR-SFO, and the two LHR-LAX flights. Three dates I tried in June all showed nothing direct?

There is no notification about any changing in routing on the VS website. All i can think is that they are either giving LHR pax an option to fly there, or changing LAS from LGW to LHR ??

The SFO/LAX - LAS connection is a VS numbered flight, so i gather its not a short term thing??

Any VS staff on here that could shed some light??

The flights going via LAX and SFO from LHR are part of the new America West code share agreement. So you can now pretty much fly Virgin to LAS any day of the week if you connect :D

These are in addition to the direct flights available from LGW available on Sun,Tues,Wed,Thurs.

I imagine that the VS numnbering of the LAX/SFO connection is a result of the code sharing with American West. Could the lack of a direct flight be due to searching on lowest fares (ie it's cheaper to connect than fly direct so the website won't some up with a direct option)? Would be oneexplanation for this rather strange occurance.

Thanks Steven!!

Great to have more more options with flights anyway! I might give this a try next time i go to LAS as i prefer going to LHR and the aircraft/entertainment are better. Plus .. think of the miles!!

Indeed double miles at the moment - http://www.iflyvirginatlantic.com/main773.htm Correct me if im wrong but you will also get another 1 TP.

I think I will fly via SFO next time I go to LAS. The connection time is short, the internal flight is short, and more chance of V:Port + IFBT etc..

All very true, but this means you are losing precious Vegas time!

And more so than anywhere else, time is money in Vegas :D[8D].

(Ps. The UCS will be on LAS flights then, and will be a very exclusive section just in the tip of the 747. The service is bound to be unbeatable :))
