Upgrading someone else with your miles

Does anyone know if you can upgrade someone elses flight using your miles (both parties been on the same flight but booked in different classes) [?]

I dont see why not as you can book MPM for another person with your own points.

And you can also book an upgrade reward for someone else, or a full reward ticket for that matter.

Yes I did it for my son, upgraded from economy to UC.
