Waiting for an answer from FC, but thought someone here might know ...

Potentially booking an ANZ flight i have seen on Expedia. I looked for SYD-LAX and found a flight, but it actually seems to be two seperate flights. The first flight is SYD-AKL on ANZ 118, then AKL-LAX on another flight (cant remember the number but it is a seperate flight) There is a change of aircraft too so it definately is two seperate flights but can be bought as a 'SYD-LAX' flight from Expedia.

Query is ... what do you think the chances are of earning miles/tier points for these as seperate flights? Im booking in D class (i believe) so i was hoping that as ANZ are a partner for FC i could earn 2 tier points for each flight, totalling 4 TPS rather than the 2 i had originally believed i was getting.

I emailed FC but they have not replied (maybe dont want to get me too excited LOL) so i wondered if anyone here had taken a similar type of flight and knew the answer?

Heres hoping :)

Waiting for an answer from FC? :)

If its two separate flight numbers, then you will earn tier poitns for each sector.

I'm working on a whole new reference guide to VS called the JulietBook, we will be putting it up here on the site when we are happy with it.

For a sample, which includes ANZ - http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2370

Thanks,
Richard

Thats great! I thought it should be two seperate flights but as im buying it as oneyou know how these loopholes in the rules can appear!

Excellent! will gladly go ahead with that one ... on my way to Gold at last i hope :)
