an old Stewardess's uniform has currently attracted 35 bids and is up to the staggering price of £862.99

I know it was designed by famous designers, but is it really THAT collectable?

Could be that there are a lot of people who feature VS stewardesses in their, erm, fantasy life ;)

Currently at GBP920, with 30 mins to go.

If this is for real then if I were Virgin I would drip feed new mint uniforms onto eBay - after all they can't cost much more tha GBP75 to make max! More margin(as a %) than full fare UC!!!

I think the most surprising thing is that there were 8 different bidders after the total reached £200.

Frankly this worries me... it's security risk if people can buy airline uniforms.

Mmmm investment me-thinks!
i have the current VAA complete uniform do we think it would fetch more??? lol not that i would ever ever sell it!
last time i looked at it it was 420.00 can't believe it went for so much!
Don't agree to much with the security issue as the uniform is very old now and i think the rest of the VAA crew might notice the difference but obv if it was current unifrom i can see a kind of risk but without the security pass you wouldn't get far anyway!.

Its costs around 750 pounds to kit a crew member out in a VS uniform.

jacket, skirt, trousers, shirts, blouses, scarf for women, winter scarf for males.

Winter coats, crew bags, umbrellas, handbags, SHOES!, wings, name badges.
