Hi,

Wondering if anyone knows what's happening with flights on the Man MCO towards the end of January 08? The PE seating is displaying as 3 4 3 (on another site), and the flight is completely full. Are they takign a 747-400 out for refit? If so, does anyone know what they would replace with? The seating arrangement doesn't look like an Airbus, but I could easily be wrong. Anyone from ops around?

Hi - Non of the Virgin configs have a PE section with 3-4-3. The LHR 744's now have a 2-4-2 as do the MAN 744's on the bottom deck, with the upper deck 2-2. The Airbus a/c are all 2-3-2 in PE.

Which site are you looking at to get this information as we could then have a look at see if we can work it out.

Hi Neil - Info is from expertflyer.com.

I'm interested (and booked on) the return flight MCO - MAN on 31st Jan. We were hoping to upgrade to PE at Downtown Disney check in, but got worried when I saw the seating config was completely different to normal! It looked normal on VA website for Econ, just absolutely jammed full!

I have just looked on Expert Flyer at the flight (assume you are on the VS76?) and the PE section is showing as a 2-4-2 but with the same row numbers as the LGW/MAN config so I would be pretty certain you are on that a/c config and EF is just showing 2 extra seats upstairs. The Economy section is the same as the LGW/MAN fleet too 3-4-3. The flight is showing very full in both Y and W.

The best way to check is to see what the VS website shows as the aircraft type in the manage my bookings section. This is going to be the most accurate.

Expertflyer is not good for displaying PE seating on VS flights for 744 A/C.

Sometimes Upper Class is wrong too as often on A346 A/C you see J as being 1-2-1 instead of 1-1-1.

Thanks for your help guys. Feeling a little more relaxed now! If I have to fly in a packed Econ I at least know what to expect if it is a 744.
