Pix,
How do you convert TR's into numbers.
I s'pose you guestimate based on the Narative?

So I Guess to make thinks easier for you future TR's should have the following headings:
Check In
Seat
Food & Drink
Entertainment
Cabin Crew

While we're standardising isn't it worth grading out of 10 or something like that?

Jonathan

Have a go at posting a new topic in the Trip Reports section (obviously don't post it ;)), but you'll see what Pix has done [8D]

Cheers

D'oh!!
Should check these things first!!

Still I know you beta test so I guess you had a heads up anyway!!

a suggestion though would be to use stats for non-vs metal so you could compare SQ to VS on say a SYD route?

Just looking at the charts interesting to see how well VS are rated. Reading some of the TR's and comments it could be possible to get the impression that Virgin quality has falled, but these go to show that isn't the case.

The overall rating is very high for everything. Infact everything rates well, the only area that falls below 50% is the Economy seat ... and thats not really a surprise isn't. There can't be that many airlines were the Economy seat would be classed as Excellent.

Foz,

I think for those stats to be truely reflective of TR's a few months of numbers will be needed..
Still i'm all in favour of any tool that allows people/VS to see how the airline is doing..rated by customers both frequent and occasional.

Excellent addition Pix!

Interesting that Upper gets better ratings even in the Entertainment section; when the economy cabins still have the same system (ok, you get a bigger screen in Upper...)

I'd noticed this [?]- also that PE passengers rated the food better than economy when it's the same stuff. I suppose there is more chance of not getting your first choice in economy which might affect satisfaction. Or is this about the "drinks" bit of food and drink - (in)frequency of drinks service does seem to pop up in Y trip reports.

As Jonathan pointed out, it'll take a while to build a 'normalised' picture of the ratings. There's only a few in there at the moment, so difficult to draw too many conclusions, although of the few recorded, it does seem a more positive picture than the 'slipping standards' posts would suggest.

Fozzyo - thank you very much. That's exactly the sort of thing I needed to hear and it was very refreshing. You are quite right in noting the difference between frequent flyers and once/twice a year longhaulers like myself. I have no doubt it will be great.
Declan, you shouldn't get hung up on my terminology. The thread was meant merely to highlight any apprehension on my part.

Excellent work!

There is always the danger of percieivng standards slipping when the benchmark is so high in the first place;);)

Thanks once again
