I do worry about creating new threads.. but I can't find the answer to this one and it's driving me mad!

Whilst trying to explain local times and the like to a member of our office staff... I decided to use VS027 and VS028 as an example on the VS website...

To my amazement I noticed the following:

VS028 - MCO/LGW

Left MCO yesterday on time (+10 mins but who's arguing)
Arrived LGW 4 hours late.

I may be wrong, but I didn't think a headwind could add 4 hours onto the flight!? Does anyone know if this is an error or was there some sort of problem?

Was similar for SFO yesterday, left 20 mins late and landed over 1 hour late, which in real terms is more like 1 1/2 late, but so were all of the flights from London.

We were told, Fog etc in London then very strong headwinds, which must be true as sfo lhr thsi moring was only 9hours 5 Mins.

May have been some sort of technical/medical emergency. We were on VS7 on 30/09 which left LHR more or less on time and diverted to PIK for a medical emergency, arriving in LAX 3.5 hours late. This will not be evident on website.

The vs28 on 17/10 diverted to Gander.

I think it was hydraulic problems.

Great thanks, I knew someone would know...

Didn't think a headwind could be quite that bad!
