Just getting quotes for a hol to Dubai in Feb and see that Qatar Airways business class pax get entry into VS Club Houses at LHR & LGW! Airline Network are offering return flights on Qatar Airways for £1,000 which seems great value (Emirates comes in around £1,700). The reviews on Skytrax of QR's business class are also excellent. Has anyone got any views / recommendations? I reckon that entry to the Club House alone would swing it for me!

Would also be interested if anyone has any experience of using Touchdown, i.e. the agency for travel industry staff?

Excellent news :) As I'm travelling in J with Qatar Airways (QR) on Nov 7th LHR>DOH>MLE, I'll of course I'll post a full TR.

This must be a new thing as when I checked with QR a few months back they told be J pax could use the SAS lounge in T3 at LHR.

QR are also offering double Privalage Club miles for the first month on the new LGW route which commences 26th Nov.

Privalage miles can be spent and earned on VS flights though FC miles cannot be earned or spent on QR.

I noticed this link that suggests they have switched from the clubhouse to the SAS lounge. This was only a review so may be inaccurate.

I couldn't find anything on Qatar re VS Clubhouses.

Jonathan

On the Airlinequality page a bit further down - there is mention of the VS Clubhouse for a J class flight on 4th Apr 2004. The first review at the top is a F class flight which mentioned the SAS lounge...

I'll know for sure though in approx 13 days....not that I'm counting or anything!!!!

.....mind you no tickets yet from VH [:0]

Hi VC,

I have used Touchdown a couple of times for cheap flights only although some of the B&S packages look good as well. No problm booking and tickets issued ok ( not sure what happens now with e-tickets)Once they have checked eligibilty of your company no probs.
