It is likely that I will be taking flights to DXB booked by a company in the UAE.

I will be requesting VS, but will I be able to upgrade using points in the usual manner? Obviously the ticket types have to be correct but can I amend a ticket that I have not booked?

Thanks

Jeremy

PS Look forward to meeting you all at the RBS

Yes you can upgrade the flight, providing you are booked into an upgradable fare class and you have your PNR, which should be on your booking confirmation.

Thanks,
Sarah

You don't even need your PNR, if your FC number is against the reservation then bingo, you can go for it (subject to fare classes of course).

A problem has arisen whilst trying to upgrade. The travel company has purchased an M class ticket and I need this changed to an L before I can upgrade.

Having tried phoning VS, I have been told that they can not alter this particular ticket as the details were inputted by another company. They suggested that I contact the travel company in UAE and ask them to make the changes.

Due to the nature of my visit I don't want to rock the boat too much so won't be phoning UAE. However, does anyone else have any ideas. I was thinking of trying the ticket office just to checking in this evening Ð has this previously proved successful?

Thanks

Jeremy
