Hi,
I will be taking my first VS flight from IAD to LHR and back in a couple of weeks. I am so excited-I am even not flying from my home airport so I could fly VS!
Unfortunately, my company would only pay for economy (not even flexible economy

Please tell me I will have access to the CH at LHR??? Some items I read make it sound like as long as you are on a VS flight you have CH access, while other items make it seem like you have to at least have a PE ticket or gold card. I didnt see where you could buy club access for a day like is common with other airlines.

Be kind-this is my first post.

Oh yeah, and do you get free alcoholic drinks in economy?

thanks again!

Hello and welcome! The clubhouse at Heathrow is only available to passengers flying in Upper Class or Flying Club Gold members I'm afraid. ISTBC but I think the only way to purchase Clubhouse access is through Virgin Holidays and only if you have booked through them. The only other way is to be invited by an Upper Class or Flying Club Gold passenger.

And yes all Virgin flights serve complimentary meals and alcoholic drinks. Enjoy your first flight and sure you'll be back for more!

Welcome to the site.

As Dan has said with your current ticket/circumstances then you will not have access to the CH.

If you are a member of this site, then you can post your flight details in the Itinerary Forum, like lots of other members do and then if there are any members who are flying UC or are Au, and are flying on the same date as you, there is always a chance you might be able to arrange to meet up and then they can take you in as there guest.

There is always the option to purchase lounge access for the Servisair lounge, and whilst it certainly isn't the CH, it is still away from the masses in T3.

Hope you enjoy your first flight and make sure you do a TR for us.

I have paid to go in the LGW clubhouse when not booking through VH so it is possible but very discretionary. I believe the cost for LHR is £60 each.

Ask one of the nice check in staff to call the CH and ask, the worst they can say is no.

Hi All,
Thank you for the responses. I am very excited about this flight (and I am not a good traveller) and hope to have the chance to fly VS again.

Hopefully, I will be able to meet up with someone that has CH access just so I can check it out. It sounds so wonderful, I would be happy just to see it in real life (I know there are pics on the VS website).

Thanks again!
