I have a Flying Club credit card with Virgin and have been sent details of their "Virgin Money Members Shop" which I can register for. A few of the offers listed in the shop are, for example :

- Take out Life Assurance and get 5000 points
- Take out an ISA and get 2500 points
etc

As I have a flying club account, are these points credited as flying club miles or are these a different type of points?

Thanks

This is my understanding - but I would get a second opinion to be sure - When you take out a (non VS) Virgin Credit card, your 'points' go towards purchases in the 'members shop'.

If, at any time you take out a VS Virgin credit card (still confusing, because they look identical [:(!] ) You are then allowed a one off 'points dump' to convert your Virgin members shop points to FC points.

That is my understanding and is exactly wht I did. For this reason, I doubt if the Life Assurance / ISA members shop points can be converted to FC points if you have already had a points dump - but I stand to be corrected ;)

When you say you were sent details, was it an email, or have included with you statement?

Nick
