Hi there, can anyone clarify the points needed for a chaffeur car to and from heathrow. the virgin website first states that it is 12,5000 one way, but in the box underneath it looks like it is 12,5000 for both to and from the airport. thanks

....and you need to have used miles to purchase your UC ticket in the first place, either outright reward or miles upgrade.

I think I will earn enough miles when I fly UC one way and stay at a partner hotel. Can I use my miles to book a chaffeur car from Heathrow on my way back?

Yes, but they have to be in your account and ready to use at the point of booking (which must be at least 24 hours, in local time, from the point you need the car pickup).

And of course, as above, this assumes you're traveling on a G (reward/upgrade) ticket.

Also note:-

From the Virgin Website

Chauffeur driven cars and other ground transfer options are not offered on Upper Class Miles Plus Money fares.

I've got Z UC tickets. Do they still earn the right miles?

They willearn the right amount of miles for a Z fare - i.e. not the same as for a full fare in Upper (J or D) I believe but the lower amount.

If I fly out on a Thursday how quickly will the miles get put into my account as I am flying back on Monday and am hoping to get a chaffeur car from LHR?

You can't book a CDC with miles on a Z fare - only with a G fare. However your miles should be credited in 48 hrs IME.

If you go to the 'claim missing miles' link straight after your flight lands, you'll find you can actually have the miles credited *immediately* [;)][y]

I've successfully claimed missing miles in the CH before boarding :) Very useful if you are trying to arrange an upgrade using miles on the way back !
