As a new member and not yet up to speed with this forum, can anyone tell me if my situation is unique. When recommending friends in the Miles More Friends promotion, I made sure that they checked that their flights were qualifying ones - in the last 2 instances they both booked M class tickets. When the points were not credited to my account Virgin said, "Yes they were M class bookings outbound, but Q class on the return" - so no points for recommending! The flights were not cheap and cost more than BA was offering at the time but they booked with Virgin for my benefit! Both my friends, and I , feel cheated. The Virgin rep said that the Marketing Dept was aware of the fact that the Terms & Conditions were misleading but they were not prepared to credit me the points! I'm awaiting a call back from a supervisor.

I'm planning to enrol some of my friends through MmF within the next few months, so I'm anxious to see the answer to this question, as I think they are booked on M class tickets.

Unfortunately it has to be a return pair of qualifying fare classes to get the bonus - but you're halfway there. When they next take a flight (one-way) in a qualifying sector you will get the miles.

2,000 is a bit low in my opinion as a bonus when you take the qualifying fare classes into account - I can get that many at the moment for a £60 hotel room at a UK Radisson.

Thanks,
Richard

Ooops - forgot to post a result - well, better late than never. Virgin insisted that they could not make an exception, but they could give me an equal amount of points as a "goodwill gesture"! So, anyway, I got my points !

Can anyone answer this one?

I recommended two friends who were flying LHREIS via ANU. The LHRANU segments were PE. The ticket was booked with Thomson.

On their trip out their miles credited no problem.

On their trip back, their LIAT flight EIS->ANU was delayed by over 2 hours, and so they missed their connection to the VS flight back to LHR.

They were moved to a BA flight back to London later that day.

Of course, no miles have credited for the return trip.

a) Are they entitled to claim these miles for the return trip
b) Will I still get my 7500 mile referral bonus for each of them.
