Upgrades

I am looking to upgrade my outward flight to NY from PE to UC using miles. At present there are no rewards avaialable. Do they usually release any more nearer the time or is that it. thanks. [:X]

Sometimes they will release seats nearer the time, usually in the week leading up to the flight. They still could release some at any time though, so it is good to keep checking.

Just a thought, I need 4 seats, do they usually release that many in one go?

I am sure that Scrooge was trying to be helpful but it would have been better if you had said you were after 4 PE to UC upgrades in your original post as well as give details about the date and flight you were on.

I think you have taken it the wrong way, scrooge helpfully answered your question which was a one answer question, a yes or no was sufficient! I dont see why you think the questions to your answers should all come with a lenghty response.[?][?]

4 UC rewards seats is rare, not impossible to crop up but unlikely. Keep checking the loads, if the flight is full then you might have more luck on the day at the airport with using miles. Doesnt hurt to ask how much the upgrades will be in cash too.

Ok, now that I am home I can be a little more helpful.

What is the flight number and what fare bucket are you booked into right now in PE.

You may have more success in bagging 2 upgrades first (ensuring clubhouse access for all with 2 guests) and then seeing if another two are released later on.

Sorry was obviously feeling a bit off sorts yesterday. I only want to try and upgrade the outward journey. I would try with cash, but did not think I could do this as the flights originally booked were with miles to start with.

We are on the VS045 on 10 July.

Need to know what fare bucket your booked in.

Depending on loads you may, as oxmatt states have better luck picking them up 1 at a time, though you could well end up 1 or 2 short which wouldn't be good.

Thanks Darren, well there are plenty of seats, it may be worth calling the FC and seeing what if any seats they can get released from revenue mismanagment.
