Dont shoot me for this.. but I have just booked a flight with the dark side. (BA).

Dubai in February, have to kick myself as VS start the route later in 2006. My original plan was to go around easter with VS, but due to calendar problems I have had to do Dubai in Feb. The only saving grace is that I am off to SFO in Upper in June. :D

I have quite an active itenary for the next year. Cant believe I have been so organised.

Im going to Rhodes at the end of the month, new york in Nov, Dubai in Feb, and then San Fran and Vegas in June. The years hols will be finished with another trip to NY in Nov 06, although it is to run the NY Marathon.

Its all economy apart from SFO though, which is an Upper Reward flight.

At the moment we are booked into the Hilton Dubai Creek. I quite like the location as being Feb it wont be that hot so a good base to do city and sun things. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to the Hilton Jumeriah if we want to use the beach. It is a flexible booking just incase we change or minds.

Oooh! I'm booked into the Hilton Dubai Creek at Easter. I'd be really keen to know what you think of it. :D

Well at the moment I am just hoping that we have more than tea and coffee for our flight [:0]

I have thought quite a bit about the dark side, based on the bigger route network and so the posibility to fly with the same carrier more often than not. It did not last long though, the executive club really is quite executive, compared to VS anyway. The amount of flights I do and the fact that it seems very few BA flights outside of J earn Tiep Points, I simply would never get any status and probably never enough miles to book any reward at all.

Maybe this is a problem with being a bigger airline, its hard to have a reward scheme for the masses without everyone becoming silver or gold etc.

So with virgin I am sticking. I'm silver which is nice, and I've just managed to book an UC reward flight to SFO for next year. :D Besides, everyone loves the underdog dont they [8D]

No it's not you,the BA exec club isn't that good,ok it's horrible compared to the FC,but at least when you do finaly get enough miles for an upgrade you can get one,not always the case with VS.

I agree. I was looking at the BA frequent flyer pregramme in cosideration of J class flights to SYD, and I was not tempted.

The flying club is a major factor for me with VS - as long as its stays like it is I'll be sticking with VS.
