Sorry everyone, I have another daft question for you.

Can anyone confirm that you can check in on line, then arrive at gatwick and get rid of your bags at twilight check in? I have read conflicting things, some people have said you cant because you cant check in twice, others have said its no problem just show your on line check in print out and hand over your bags?

Thanks again :)

Yes you can do that :) You check-in online then all you do at Twilight is collect your boarding cards and drop off your bags.

VS check-in staff can see from their computer that you have checked in online.

I might be being a bit thick here but is there any point in doing both? You've got to get rid of your bags and when I have done Twilight I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes.

True

But it's like a lot of things....I use OLCI simply because I can and it's a bit different :)

Roll on been able to print your own boarding cards (presuming VS do have plans to do this)

Also you have a better chance of getting the seats you want using OLCI, but still can dump the bags at Twilight Check in

The reason we would like to do this is the same explanation that Jonathan gave. I was advised to check in online as soon as I was able just to confirm the seats, then we can dump the bags later that evening at Gatwick, leaving us free to enjoy a night at the Hilton and not have to rush in the morning. Perfect :)
