Oh dear, this thread has gone from celeb bashing, to m&m demanding, to Little Britain tv talk and to Gay rights.
Can we get back to the original topic or let this thing die?

Kev.

p.s AlanA I agree with your views on the office but not on Little Britain

Oh dear, seems to me that someone is uncomfortable speaking about...you know....M&Ms!!! ;)

AlanA, apologies for the vagueries of internet communication - my comment about "get a life" was typed in a light-hearted fashion (thus the smilie)

.....as the person who re-energised this topic yesterday I'll disappear back into cyber-space. Or as another character in another popular sketch show would say......

People like consistancy!! its reassuring!

Perhaps a generalisation, this. For me inconsistency is preferable, provided the level of service is acceptable at all times. Inconsistency provides interest, whereas consistency is boring.

Agree with Ian - "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds". Shame Mr Emerson never defines foolish :). So give me wise inconsistency.

My this thread has legs...

Think yourself lucky egg. Reading through the thread, I nearly burnt my knickers in an uncharacteristic fit of gay liberation .... but then I read your comment that it was 'so last year'. So luckily I am still intact.[8D]:D

I am still of the opinion that I like to be treated fairly (so I guess I agree with the OP). So either the hobgoblin is at work, or I am a communist. In fact, I don't think the point is so much about consistency - it is more about favouritism and equity. Surly no one likes to be treated second best, especially when they have not done anything to deserve it. Of course life's too short to fret about every inequality, but it sometimes hurts nevertheless.

more the better.

Noooooooo!!! EGG, the last sentence of sailor99's last post was such a great 'closer' why did you have to go and add another reply?

Won't an Admistrator block this thread right now, or it might just go on forever:)

Not sure, but my friends were out on a flight a couple of weeks back and had Jonathan Ross and family in PE on the way out and UC on the way back. If it was them, there is consolation, because there was no IFE on the way back due to a faulty system.

I was on the flight back from Orlando in UC with Jonathan Ross and family (see my trip report for VS28 on 3rd Sept) and I am glad they were on board to entertain with the lack of IFE - they are such a nice family too and didnt get any extra / better treatment than any of the rest of us in UC!

As one of the pigs said in animal farm, everyone is equal - but some are more equal than others.

To save duplication, I'm locking this (expired) thread now. Please continue discussion in the new one.
