Can anyone confirm if there were any 8hr delays from New York to London on the 29th of Nov? Or the 28th or 30th?

Mate's boss reckons she was held up for 8hrs due to the lights failing on board and had to deplane while they fixed it. However, I've looked at http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk and that shows no flight arrived later than an hour or so after schedule. Can anyone confirm if the know if this is the case? [^]

Any help most appreciated! :)

Ok,

A quick look at those dates reveals the following recorded departure times for the New York flights:

VS02: EWR-LHR
28/11: 02:56AM GMT
29/11: 02:56AM GMT
30/11: 03:56AM GMT
VS04: JFK-LHR
28/11: 01:44AM GMT
29/11: 01:09AM GMT
30/11: 01:22AM GMT
VS10: JFK-LHR
28/11: 04:13AM GMT
29/11: 04:24AM GMT
30/11: 04:21AM GMT
VS18: EWR-LHR
28/11: 01:48PM GMT
29/11: 01:58PM GMT
30/11: 01:36PM GMT
VS46: JFK-LHR
28/11: 02:44AM GMT
29/11: 02:39AM GMT
30/11: 02:40AM GMT

Other than about an hour delay to the VS02 on the 30th, nothing major in there. I'd say your mates boss is trying to pull a fast one.

VS002 arrived 10:13
VS004 arrived 07:16

Apologies for the delay - only just noticed this message

Time out from JFK on VS010 on the 28th Nov was 23.01 (from the gate)EST - Wheels up at 23.10 EST

Flight time was scheduled to be 6 hrs 40 mins

The Heathrow / LGW movements are a fraction out for landing time for the 29th as it was just seconds before 11.00am when the wheels hit the ground, then a 20 min hold on the ground while we waited for a gate

Not usually so 'a***** retentive over such matters, but kept the details for the trip report on here - thats my excuse anyway :D
