Four of us are due to fly VS117 into Miami next February.

We are booked into PE and at present have reserved seats H&K on rows 22 & 23.
I have read some of the horror stories about the long queues at MIA!
Looking at the seat map, the exit looks to be between PE and UC.
With your vast experience on this site, do you think I would be better served moving our seat across to the other side of the plane? I don't really want to be too close to the front (in case there is a small child in the front row :-D ), and I can see the row 21 doesn't have a window.
The reason I was thinking of moving across to A&C was to give us the best possible chance of getting off the plane a little quicker?

I would say sit where you feel most comfortable. You should be among the first 50-odd people off the plane and whether you're 35th or 40th doesn't make much difference in the grand scheme of things. 300th would be a different matter!

US immigration tends to be a bit faster now most airports have the machines in, and you can always beat a few people by walking fast.

It is a heck of a walk to the immigration hall and you can easily overtake people by walking quickly and using the travelators! It will still take about 15 mins!
