Just got this from VS:

ONLINE OFFERS ENDING SOON

Make the most of your miles by booking online with us before 31 December 2005. Enter your Flying Club number for your mileage bonus. Plus, get a discount of up to 2,000 miles, for spending Flying Club miles online.

Now, I know they've ALWAYS extended it for the past few years, but this is the first indication I've ever seen that they might actually end it when they said they would. (It always used to be quietly extended).

Maybe it's marketing trying to sell off seats this year, but something tells me it might be coming to an end...

(...just in time for them to fix the bug that would have allowed honey lamb to make use of it??? [:0][:#])

And it looks like it's now gone. The Ts&Cs are still here, but a dummy flights for miles booking shows no discount at the pricing page.

You're right - it's still posted on the "Member Offers" page, but doesn't work... [n]

(Maybe they have something even better up their sleeve though... [:?])

I imagine, as a free-fall enthusiast, it's quite important for you to be an optimist. :D

Reminds me of a well-known military exhortation: If at first you don't succeed, best you don't try parachuting or bomb disposal. [:w]

Best wishes

It's actually mostly the reverse, in thought process:

"It'll fail, it'll fail, it's not out yet, that looks a bit twisted, it's going to kill me, it's opening, ah - phew, it's worked".... :D

... there is sometimes an epilogue to that sequence, but that'd scare Pete off trying it at our next outing ;)

Better an epilogue than an epitaph

There are a number of old offers on the VS website
- online booking bonus
- 10% discount on advance retail therapy orders
- online redemption discounts
- virgin cars
to name a few. I hope they clear away the old and wheel forward something shiney and new.

Just been told by FC that online booking made prior to 31 December honored only for flights completed before then. If the return leg was after 31 Dec--no miles.[n]

Sends me right back to FC- booked phone in rez...as can book class with no guess work.

Maybe say as a throw away that you would have booked online if you got 1,000 miles like when you book via Unitedairlines.co.uk! :)

Did N fares booked online earn the online bonus as the fare does not earn miles?
