We've just discovered that my family members were not credited flying club miles for a flight we took in August 2017. I'm told by Flying Club Customer Services that we cannot claim back missing miles for flights over 6 months ago. Can anybody confirm that this is correct?

Thanks,

D.

From VS t &c’s

3.1.2 If you do not provide your membership number at the time of booking or travel you may seek to earn mileage on Virgin Atlantic flights for up to six months after the date of travel / activity.

However it’s my understanding that if you *did* provide FC number at time of booking/flying but have only just noticed that miles/TPs didn’t credit you should still be able to claim them even after 6 months have passed.

Your fault vs. their fault thing I guess

That is a totally different argument and easily countered by 'well you should have checked they posted at the time'
