Changes to the JFK Clubhouse Spa

Just spotted this on the VS website today:

More treatment rooms at JFK Clubhouse

Our customers flying through New York JFK told us they’re more interested in the spa services than the hair styling services on offer at the Clubhouse. So we’re closing our hair salon and adding more treatment rooms. Our hair salon at our London Heathrow Clubhouse will still be waiting if you need a trim. And don’t forget, you can use your miles to pay for spa services in all our Clubhouse Spas.

Not about making more money at all, oh no.

They’ve clearly been to the BA school of PR. “Our customers told us they’d rather pay for an overpriced packet of M&S Percy Pigs than get a free G&T on short haul flights.”

I wonder how long the hair salon at LHR will survive. Does anyone still use it since haircuts stopped being free?

I still use it myself, see quite a few others doing so as well. Combine it with a comp treatment and I get a haircut & facial for £18 which is alright.

Damnit, I always get my hair done at the JFK Clubhouse. Hope they keep the LHR salon.
