Just for information on GE renewals. I received my response from UK authorities within 24 hours and exactly the same experience from the US authorities, positive response within 24 hours and no requirement for an interview. Suitably impressed.
This does seem to be the norm now in many cases. Was exactly the same for me too & know others on here have had similar experiences for renewal.
