£405 is about right to be honest, an on the day airport revenue upgrade is £199 each way per person on that route. Subject to availability of course.

just got off the phone with Virgin Holidays - upgraded just on the outbound flight into PE for £356.50 for the 2 of us - bargain i think - am really glad i did it now too - thanks every1 for all your help and advice

Neil,
To throw one more stone into the pond allow me to suggest that, if you are a bit weary when checking in for the homeward leg you check with the ticket agent for what it would cost to upgrade you both on that leg. Sometimes if there's room in a premium cabin an airport upgrade can be arranged for a reasonable price.
