Got some sandwiches from the garage on my way home last night, BP I think. What was interesting is that these were no ordinary sandwiches. They were celebrity Chef sandwiches! Yes, they were made by the tallented hands of Mr Worrel-Thompson (yes personally prepared by the hairy dwarf, and they even sported his smiling mug-shot on the front to proove it). Of course they cost a little more than your everyday sandwiches, but hey-ho. Odd thing is that they tasted exactly the same as Ginsters Ploughman's sandwiches.

So my personal take would be that a celeb chef preparing aircraft food would impress me not a jot. As Highfly said, it is more of a job for a food scientist IMHO.

WOW now THAT would be a coup - VS to get Heston Blumenthal to do catering!!

Absolutely, don't waste your money on getting a 'celeb' chef. It doesn't take a food genius to come up with the basic dishes, I may actually suggest VS consult with my mum as she does some lovely, simple food that everyone will appreciate - homemade lasagne, toad in the hole, shepherds pie (mmm, yum!), spaghetti bolognese, homemade chicken pie etc.

Thanks,
Richard

Is there anything he will not put his name too?I just got a flyer from one of my suppliers with a range of wozzer electrical appliances
I kid you not.

On the celeb chef thing, BA have one dish per menu in first endorsed/created, the waterside pud was terrible but the Cinnamon Club lamp shank curry was outstanding.

Think I would go with Floyd, fancy his fish and chips cooked in a RR Trent engine:D

You better not let the Mannions hear you talking like that about their travelling companion. Next it'll be Louis Vuitton bags instead of bangers 'n' mash!;)[:p]

Don't worry, Sarah. I haven't seen veal on any menu yet.

(All it requires now is for some catering bod to see this and think "Hmmm! Veal. That's a bit different!)

Right reverend surly?

BTW, could we be said to be OT, and should we get back OnT? I quite like the salt and pepper pots VS use in their catering.
