Slightly long winded post here, sorry!

I've got heaps of Tesco clubcard points, that can be converted with the clubcard deals, into the BA exec club. I've got enough points to redeem about 10k miles.

Now can I convert these to flying club miles? I checked the convert tool and it says you can, but I have no idea how to go about it. Can you even collect BA miles without ever flying with them?

Many thanks.

If the converter tool says you can convert the points, then you will be aware that the value will shrink dramatically.

The usual way to convert points from one airline to another is to do it via a hotel or credit card scheme. For example, convert them into Hilton points and then to VS points.

I don't know about the specifics of BA, but I do know that 10K American Advantage points become 3K Virgin points when done via Hilton [:0]

It is certainly possible to collect points for most airlines without ever leaving the ground, either through credit cards / hotel stays/ car hire or numerous other ways.

With Virgin, all of their partners are listed on the VS webiste.
