hiya anyone help?
just checked my wifes airmiles & it appears the miles from our feb05 holiday has not been added to her account (mine has) i rang virgin they said they only give airmiles backdate upto 6 months, therefore she has lost 8444 miles!!!!
anyone had anything the same? can anything be done about this? i am sooo annoyed with virgin i normally fly twice a year to orlando with them but no customer loyalty shown to me.

Hi blackpoolowl

You say your miles have been added to your account, were you both members of the FC when you took the flights or became members within 6 months of taking?

If so it must be a virgin error (if you did become members after the flights did you contact Virgin requesting the miles) I would contact them again requesting the miles be added. But it does clearly state on the Virgin website that miles for flights will only be backdated for 6 months, not very good news for you I know and missing out on the miles is very annoying.......good luck.

Cheers

ISTBC, but my understanding of the 6 month rule was that you could have miles added for flights taken up to 6 months before membership started. I did not understand it to be an excuse for errors by VS, if that is indeed the case. If you have any documentation relating to the flight, especially boarding stubbs, it would help (although I understand that is unlikely)

hiya
we both have had the cards for 4 years ,got them at the same time.
we always go to orlando as a family in february, have done for 6 years and spend alot with virgin!!!
they acknowledge we took the holiday but say the miles were put on mine but they must have missed putting on my wifes miles. not our fault i would presume, but i have been told its up to me to check!
fair enough if my wife recieved the letter each year but she hasnt so i couldnt, i am so pi**ed with virgin where i am normally 100% happy.

Don't you get quarterly statements from the Flying Club?

If not, go to the website and update your 'communication preferences' in the 'manage your account' section.

It is always best to make sure the points are posted - for exactly this reason.

I would definitely call customer services again and this time I would speak to a supervisor. Your miles were added but your wifeÕs were not, surly that must go down as a Virgin error! [:?]

I've never had to chase Virgin for my miles, they have always appeared quite quickly for flights taken. But having said all that, please read section 3.1.3 from the Virgin Flying Club T&C's.

Good luck
