NRT Departure tax?

Hello all

I have read about a "departure tax" payable when you leave Narita Airport that is apparently about 2000 Yen. Is this included in the price of my air ticket, which I was told includes all taxes? The ticket was issued by VA and has a cover price then the taxes on top, but does not specify what they are.

Should I expect to pay extra when leaving Japan?

Not any more. You used to have to pay this separately but now it is included in the airfare.
