Hope I haven't dup'd a posting. I've been having problems using the Manage Your Flights facility after logging into the Virgin web site.

Login, click Manage Your Flights, click Retrieve Bookings, click *myflight* link, which displays a "We have been unable to process your request" error.

I contact Virgin, they told me to try manually entering my flight details, which worked. I then tried to enter all my Advance Flight Information which bailed out twice.

Is anyone having issues like this?

Cheers,
Mutley.

Thanks for the link. The other thread confirms Virgin are still having stability issues which still haven't been resolved.

I find it frustrating that Virgin don't seem particular fussed about fixing web issues with any urgency. As a Virgin fan and a techie, it annoys me they let themselves down with something basic. [:(!]

Having said that, I'm looking forward to my flight on Saturday. :D

I could not get my API to enter and ended up calling FC to do it - as GB says there is a post about API.

I think that sometimes they have server probs - maybe at busy times - I usually try to stay clear of 3-5 in the afty as thats when the US wakes up and logs on - early morns seem good!!!

I agree that load can cause timeouts etc, AFI bailed out several times on the weekend.

However, web errors (not timeouts) are a pain. It so much easier typing in AFI details into the website rather than to a human. Oh well, I will embrace legacy techbology and speak to a Virgin representative and read out my AFI to them. ;)

Just a little technical update - its API Advanced Passenger Info

Have fun with the representatives - I had a great chat with mine and she was gonna look at this site - dont know if she has yet !!!

Yea the 'my flight' link on 'manage your flight' has been down for some time. But if you manually enter you details again on manage your flight, then the system should call up your flight details as normal. It worked on mine.

Same problem as others on "myflight" links. Reported to Virgin about a week ago but nothing's happened. Asked Virgin representative to enter my API details for me and have just checked accuracy by manually entering my booking reference. Rather alarmed to find that, with the exception of my passport number, every other detail (including sex) was incorrect. Didn't think my diction was that bad !

From what I hear, API was by no means a basic thing to introduce to the website

I'm sure it wasn't Daffy, but they could've Beta tested it a little bit before letting it loose on the public ;)

Cheers
