Hi jerseyboy,
That would be Continental, operating two codeshares LGW/EWR at 1030 and 1230. I believe it operates as a B777 outbound from LGW and a B757 inbound.

Actually both LGW-EWR and EWR-LGW flights are 777-200ERs. I just did some fake reservations to make sure. It depends what class you intend to be travelling in really, and then once you determine that, how much you are willing to pay and how far you are willing to travel.

I was wondering how outbound and inbound flights could be on different aircraft, unless we are collecting used 757's at LGW! ;)

Hi Wayne,

ExpertFlyer doesn't seem to agree, I'm afraid. Both the 18/19 and 28/29 combo to & from LGW-EWR show up as a 777 at all times. [?]

CO 767s have the same interior as the 777s (except not as wide) so it doesn't matter anyway.

Quite the controvery as to aircraft type, eh? My information came from Expedia, so let's gang up on them and tell them to clean up their act! As VS-EWR says though, it really doesn't matter, as jerseyboy really just needed to know which carrier was actually flying the codeshare.

So, did you book the flights, Wayne?

Having been in BF on both the CO 772 and the 764 I say that they both rate pretty well in my book, the seat is not a true lie flat, but it is very comfortable and the as ever they know how to cook a STEAK,no bangers and mash[:$] in BF.

Wayne, while I agree that someone is confused, I can guarantee it's not the Air Traffic Control (or ACARS data) at LGW.

Strangely, they have the tail numbers and aircraft type of those planes that have taken off and landed at the airport. Those are the actual planes that operated at LGW on the 20th.

I'm sure they'd be interested to know that lunch was served on that flight though ;)

Ah, the month might make all the difference.

20th March, was where that data came from, along with the same results for Jan/Feb/March in total. Also 777 for April, and October, as checked. I don't believe you mentioned July at all in any previous post...? [?];)
