Just to add my bit. The CO18/19 VS3118/3119 is always the 777-200 leaving at 10:30 gettin you in at a nice time at EWR. The 12:30 flight does alternate between 767 and 777(Sometime you can be lucky at get the newer 767-400) The later flight tends to be 777 for most of the week during the summer season but can change at any notice.

The seat differ in BF on the two types. The 777 have a modified J2000 seat which is way better than the J2000 (ok but not the suite) and it 2x2x2. The 767 has the older style cradle seat and sits 2x1x2.
They both have the same entertainment with BF getting a much wider selection than the Y cabin.

The food and service has always been the best we've ever had even when compared to VS and the staff, yeh they're older than most of the VS crews but are always lovely to us. They also do a special aftenoon tea on the LGW flights to EWR and IAH (something which doesn't happen on any of their other UK and european flights)

The one crap thing (as with a lot of US airlines) is the lounge, which is why we always use the LGW clubhouse. The best tip if you wanted the LGW-EWR is go for the earlier 10:30, always garaunteed 777 with nice seats etc. Also the BF check in is tucked away all on it's own and feels really nice. Plus the added benefit is you're on a VS flight so you gather the miles and TP. Anyone who hasn't tried them I would really say give em a go.

Add to that the fact that EWR is best airport in the universe and you get a good combination! [}:)]

In any case you have a lot of flights to choose from:

LGW-EWR (CO/VS)
LHR-EWR (VS)
LHR-EWR (BA)
LHR-JFK (VS)
LHR-JFK (BA)
LHR-JFK (AA)
LHR-JFK (UA)

(I don't think I missed any :D).

Ah, interesting, didn't know that. I also wouldn't have thought you would be able to fly the route only on that leg.

Well if the a.net pictures are any judge, KU looks OK. PTVs in each seat. A Google form KU TRs looks good too besides delays (25 to 45 minutes) and having to confirm your booking. I would do it
