Well from personal experience Mears Transportation seem to have somewhat of a stranglehold on transportation in the Orlando area.
They do everything from shuttles ($17 approx one way) to town cars & Limos ($60 upwards again one way)
Check out http://www.mearstransportation.com for details, amd on - line booking.

Yes, we also booked a limo transfer through Virgin a few years ago as a surprise for my little boy who was obsessed with cars. Funnily enough it was also to the Dolphin Hotel. It was a real treat for the children who still talk about it now. It was actually a treat for us too because it was just so easy after a long flight with young children to have everything taken care of and to not worry about picking up a hire car etc.

How did you organise that. I always think about a limo but then chicken out because of the car thing. It gets too complicated thinking about the picking up and dropping off. [?]
Thanks

David, when we did it we stayed at the Dolphin which had a car depot onsite. Last time we stayed at the Grand Floridian and for one reason and another didn't want to pick up our hire car at the airport - we just got a car (not limo) from the airport to our hotel and the next day took a cab to pick up our hire car - it only cost a few dollars.

Have thought about that, but maybe just a bit lazy[:I]. Did you book your hire car for the next again day or was it booked for the day you landed and you just picked it up late?
Thanks
David
