Wow! I just tracked down the original thread, since it was before my time.
It certainly sparked a healthy debate!

Did we ever find out who the celebs were?

Not that i'm interested of course ;)

Before my time too and I haven't managed to track the thread down.

And - erm, I'm interested to hear who these celebs were who behaved so badly!

Potted history of what happened, anyone? Great to hear Virgin kept their promise though - although I guess, strictly speaking, Virgin couldn't be held accountable for how passengers behaved. A very nice gesture nonetheless.:)

OK, have found it! Same questions came up for me as well - if they were famous, surprising they were in PE and not UC... won't go over all the previous comments though.

One thing that did occur to me is that I'd have thought celebs would actually prefer to be left alone... we were on an internal flight in the US a few years ago, and one member of the crew kept walking up and down (as they do) and looking at mr cat. Eventually, she leaned over to me asked whispered 'doesn't he look like Keifer Sutherland!' (I assure you, he doesn't!) - when she'd gone, mr cat asked me who Keifer Sutherland is!

Oh boy - maybe I should use my title when booking flights, but that always seems totally pompous...[:I]

Although they didn't say what airline they were using, McFLy flew to New York in Premium Economy on Sunday, and they are coming back in Upper Class, so some famous people use PE :)

McFly famous? [?] Maybe Marty McFly [:p]

You'd be surprised what 'celebrities' fly, or to be more precise the new term 'zelebrities' - often seen down the back but expecting Upper treatment.

Thanks,
Richard

Cat,
What is your title?

I have a PhD, and have Dr on my FC card just to show off a bit. I've never been asked to attend a medical situation thank goodness.

My kids will be fed up that they missed McFly on a VS flight by a few days...

And a Lady of course. Not to mention at least 1 Knight. So Honourable' does that make you a judge or just an MP.

Daughter of a Baron or Viscount, i'd imagine, bearing in mind your profile doesn't say "MP" as a job. ;)

A judge (of appropriate standing) would be His/Her Honour..., not "The Honourable..."

Ooh, such educated thoughts! Nothing more grand, I'm afraid, that Swedish nobility - and married into, at that.
