Evening,

A quick question for the experts.

Is there a difference in numbers between availability of upper class reward seats and upper class seats that have been upgraded from premium with miles, or is there the same amount of seats that either may be purchased by miles or upgraded with miles from premium.

Is that very clear [?][?] ... I think I have just confused myself [:p]

It's been a long day [:w]

Thanks

Rewards and Upgrades are booked into G in Upper class, so the answer is:

same availability.

if you have 2 reward seats possible, you will then not be able to buy a further 2 seats and upgrade them, although on the day, if the flight is not busy, they may be able to assist (provided the upgradable fare has been paid)

Hope that helps.

Also, not all flights ever have miles seats released in Upper Class. Most LGW/MAN flights no longer have them, as the cabin only has 14 seats.

Thanks for ultra quick reply - I am glad you understood it ;)

Now I need to decide whether I spend lots of miles or just a few.

Thanks again

If you're going to redeem miles for the entire flight and make it 100% reward, remember that you'll lose 25% on cancelling which is a big hit on the new spending levels.

ISTBC, Jacq - but I believe the 25% cancellation is technically enforcable on ANY flight reward, not just reward seats.

ie: if you cancel an upgrade, (according to the T's and C's) they can claw back 25% too.
