Mile High Club?!

Without wishing to drag this topic into the gutter this Sunday evening.....

....I was telling a couple of the guys at work about our upcoming trip in UCS and the amazing Virgin flat bed - didn't take too long for the creative ones with nothing better to do to start dreaming about joining that special club in the sky! [:0]

Can't believe that anyone would have the guts / be daft enough* to become a member - or am I wrong???!!!

Perhaps there could be a little icon in your profile to show your membership! [}:)]

I couldn't imagine anyone trying it in a suite in-flight... With the suites facing apart, I think it'd be plainly obvious.

Wonder what the F/A would say if they caught you getting it on in a suite.

Lav is much more likley, although I've never personally tried it.

This reminds me of a funny story.

You all know I work in customer service for Comair. I was at a training class in Cincinnati with one of our other station managers (I won't say which station of course). She was telling us this story...

Two of her agents were out doing the morning security search on a CRJ, and she had to take some paperwork out to the plane. As she's walking up to the aircraft, she realizes that the door is open, but the curtain is shut, and despite the aircraft being hooked up to ground power, the lights are all off.

She headed up the steps, opened the curtain and found two of her agents on the galley floor.

Oh well if you want to get on to work situations,then the one that jumps to mind is getting a call from the eye saying they had a tape I had to see,it turns out one of our employees decided to help a drunk guest to her room,while riding the lift things got,lets say a little heated...to give him his dues he said it was worth the 3 days off.

Another one that jumps to mind is...I get a call about a male guest running around sniffing people and saying things like "fruity" [:0][:p]

So that's what the crew do to pass the time when everyone else is snoring!

(Opps - I must remember to use quotes in my replies - I wasn't suggesting for one minute that the crew go around sniffing people!)

uuummm.no,but the crew does have mandated breaks,what they do during those breaks is down to them...kind off [:w]

No inflight stories to share, but my old companies parties were quite legendary. Always on a thursday night, in the office building (five floors). Friday was always a game of find out who was ...

Though one year some plonker decided to organise a meeting with one of our largest clients at 9am in the Boardroom. Our staff were very bleary eyed in the meeting - but the client understood and was cool about it. Then all of a sudden one of the client team kicked something under the table. The Creative Director who had been so rudely woken up then crawled out from under the table swore a few times for getting kicked and about how good a party it was before staggering out.

Thats marketing folk for you.

errr..no..not a good idea..traditon says it should be in the bathroom,but with more airlines getting flat beds im sure stories will surface.

Hmmm. Jump Seats I do not know BUT the the tray table right in front of both pilots in the Airbus 319 supports 140 lbs. FA normally weight less than 140 lbs.

I look forward to the episode of "Air Crash Investigation" with the re-creation of that...

Pity they cancelled "Mile High" it reminds me of one of their "plots".

As for joining the mile high club, I can't see it happening to me - there isn't enough room in an airliner's lav to have a decent read of the inflight mag, let alone get up to anything else .

It will probably involve the throttle being "knocked" out of the "CL" gate and into the "REV" gate while the aircraft is in cruise flight with the autopilot engaged... oof...

I wonder if the Airbus fbw logic is clever enough to guess that you didn't mean it?

I can assure you that it takes more than moving the throttle levers through the gate to put the aircraft into rev thrust!!!!

I don't care which way anything thrusts as long as it doesn't interfere with the safe operation of the aircraft I am sitting on! [:0]

Surely the toliets are a bit to small for "enjoyment" - even in UC?? The bed wins every time I think!!! Blankets and minimal movement required......
