I guess if the satelites for DirectTV and other such companies are not in a stationary orbit, you can't easily control where the signal reaches. So as long as an airline or cruise company makes a deal with a satelite tv company they can't probably get it without any hassle.

You'll find that all satellite TV broadcast from a geostationary orbit (aka Clarke Belt)

We didnt have the news on either the VS005 0r 006 recently!

To be honest I didnt miss it - but I guess Im not a regular - so thats why!!
