Was just wondering how many Gay members we have on here. Not for anything dodgy just curious thats all.

Do you want everyone to line up and state their sexuality one by one?

I would say the membership of this site are a broad mix of all things human.

Let's leave it at that?

I do but its nice to have gay friends too when your gay. I have more straight friends than gay ones so just wanted to try get a few more gay ones

What about a member's poll? Not just who's a a friend of Dorothy's, but all sorts - so we can see what sort of people hang out here?

Errm - I know we had a little stop in the proceedings for the mods to discuss this and Im sure they gave it their full attention - but surely it makes no iference to this board if we are gay, white, black, blonde, male, female, english , scottish or whatever - surely the whole point of the board is to share things to do or associated with Virgin Atlantic - I love the diversity of the people on here - its what makes this site so unique!!

Indeed there was much discussion Mark. There were all sorts of POV and conclusions. V-flyer has always prided it self on it's inclusivity and that remains the same, and always will do. However, discussion in a number of threads tends to stray a little off a pure VS theme (To say the least!). The examples are many, and don't need listing. One of the many strengths of the forum is IMHO that people feel free to have light-hearted, serious, hard-core airline, laddish (but I hope not offensively so), girly, ......, what ever conversations. However the common theme in all the conversations should be a spirit of friendship, common interest, helpfulness and cooperation. So if someone wants to say "Hi, who round here is gay" I see not reason, with in the bounds of what we are all here for, why they shouldn't.

So I think you are right. It does make no difference what colour, race, religion, sex, age or sexuality you are on this board. And long may that be the case. But that doesn't preclude posters having conversations about those topics.

My personal opionons rather than those of the mod community BTW.

The previous was not my original opinion BTW, but after we discussed it I changed my mind. One of the strengths of the site I forgot to mention is that it is a place you can listen to other POV and learn.

It takes a big and brave man to admit he was wrong Jeremy, and in this instance, I think you were absolutely right to change your mind. So Kudos to you for that! [^]

Whilst not being gay myself, I assume it must be fairly easy for one so inclined to tell another, face to face. But online, it must be considerably more difficult, seeing as 90% of human communication is not through words.

I have no problem with anyone on this site and have found it to be one, if not, THE most friendly forum site I've ever been on. So basically, as far as hmvs_dog is concerned, I don't give a monkey's about your sexuality, race, colour or creed. What is important, is our shared passion for a certain British airline and above all, our combined friendship. It's what makes v-flyer what it is, the best website on the Internet!

I wasn't party to the discussions by the mods after I replied to this topic but have been thinking about it over the past few days.

I was originally uncomfortable with the OP - and not because I am uncomfortable with other peoples life choices either, quite the contrary hence my reply.

I then read this post and remembered why I like this site so much.
