Mileage Runs how far would you go?

Faced with the prospect of being in Seoul on Business, and then Shanghai on Holiday the following week on an N ticket I have laready bought, I am looking at my different options.

Being an upcoming mileage whore I am starting to come round to the idea of having the company book me, LHR-NRT-ICH-NRT-LHR (fortunately UC), and then upon arrival at LHR collecting my bags and checking in for my PVG flight. Or better still, could I through check my bags from NRT to PVG via LHR.

What do you guys think?
What is the maddest connection you have ever taken?

I'd better check the NRT flight arrival fits in with checking in for PVG!

You ever tried connecting at Delhi in order to get miles when you could fly direct?! It was only 4 hours, but it was the longest 4 hours of my life! Mumbai isn't much better
