Well rumour has it that it may well be MAN-GLA-MCO. At first I thought the service would be on the day off on the MAN-MCO route but then realised this is when MAN-BGI operates, so for now I would imagine it will be a MAN service with a stop in GLA, due to a lack of a/c availablity and A test the water measure until 2008. We will have to wait and see when the broucher comes out. I would guess a 744 as it will fill easily enough. Can anyone tell us?

I don't know, MAN-GLA-MCO seems like a waste of fuel to me. It would be better for VS just to fly GLA-MCO, and would anyone really want to spend the extra flying time going from MAN to GLA?

Well I cant see how it can be done then without dropping a service from LGW or MAN for one day. I persume it will be a 744 I cant see a 343 being placed on the route- might as well make as much money as possible. I agree no one will want to do the extra bit of the flight but its no different to some of the Air Transat services really. Do you have any suggestions?

It's been confirmed officially to the staff today that it's to be a MAN-GLA-MCO operating on the MAN based 744. Just 6 flights on a Saturday during the Summer and then I think another 4 during the Scottish Half term.

According to the VH brochure the flight is GLA to MCO on Saturdays on 23 June, 30 June, 7 July, 14 July, 6 October and 13 October 2007.

VS071 outbound dep GLA 1530 arr MCO 1940
VS072 inbound dep MCO 2240 arr GLA 1150

Because of the departure time from MCO I am not convinced that it is a flight destined for MAN after GLA.

Never thought of that, it actually sounds like a good idea, that way they wouldn't waste fuel and time on the MAN-GLA section. Although perhaps the problem with that is that they would need to base crew at GLA? I'm not sure how that whole process goes.
