I am sure this post was meant to be a bit of fun, practically, although an interesting thought, it would not be workable.

I'm with Bazz on this one. Can you spell "stalking?" Add a little booze to the scene and things could become uncomfortable rather fast I imagine.

For me I like the option of meeting folks at the bar, then retiring to my seat or suite, putting on my headphones and just relaxing.

Didnt Virgin suggest this as an option to include on the A380 when they did a recent questionaire?

What would happen if the new couple really hit things off, you know with the bed and all?

Surely no one here would kiss and tell on a first date[:X][:0][:p]

...and exactly how would it work? Would it be a case of all upstairs to the Bump 'n Grind cabin? [:0] [}:)]

What I actually find odd is that on a transatlantic flight, a few hundred people are crammed into a very small space for a very long time yet there seems to be this unwritten rule that nobody talks to each other [?] Speed dating would seem the other extreme somehow....[:?]

There are 3 of us travelling together in Upper (me + 2 mates) on the PVG - LHR on 28 May. We will not be requiring any interruptions or anyone else attempting to "speed date" the cabin crew member who is behind the bar as he or she will be FAR too busy managing us and the Bombay Sapphire! I can confess that I have once 'speed-dated' of sorts on board a QF flight from MEL-LHR.. she got on at the brief stop in BKK, and sat next to me. Over the following 10 hours or so we progressed rapidly through likes/dislikes, family history etc, fuelled by numerous bottles of red wine!

I don't know the 'proper' definition of the 'Mile High Club', but I would claim to membership!
