Apologies if this question has been asked before - can't find it under FAQs - or if it hasn't been placed in the correct forum.

How come one cannot book a VS flight more than 337 days ahead but it is possible to book a flydrive through Virgin Holidays for a date further into the future than 337 days [?]

It's actually 330 days.

VH have guaranteed availability with VS, so they can "hedge" their bookings against their future allocation. Although you can book your VH FlyDrive further out than this, your flights won't actually be ticketed or available to view/change/allocate seats until well inside the 330 days.

Thanks for that, Paul. But the VS website says 337, honest [ii]

Sorry - you're right in that it's not 330 - but it's also not 337! [:0]

It's 336. If you try booking to return on 16/April, it'll reject you (337 days from today). 15/April (336) is ok.

The wording's a little wrong:

You are not able to book more than 337 days in advance.

You can't actually book MORE than 336 days in advance... [:I]
