You can add car hire on the Virgin Holidays Web site here

Not sure what it means by "registration" - is there any more explanation in the brochure?

The brochure states.

'Not only do Virgin Holidays' customers skip the queues by having a dedicated Dollar collection desk at Orlando Airport, but we've made it even faster to collect your car at all pick up points by introducing an online registration where you can enter your driver's registration details in advance of travelling, resulting in spending less time at the collection desk and more enjoying your holiday'

We have a flydrive booked.

TCD have just introduced this facility and people have been registering already, so thought we should be too!!!

Couldn't see that on the VH site - woudl have been handy if they had given a URL address in the brochure - maybe its a "work in progress"

Good idea though - and I noticed that the VH site has much more information on it in their "managee yoru booking " area - at last progress[^]

I've just had an email back - is that a record? Credit to them!
Ok, you can register on the dollar website, so will be giving it a try!

Can you post a link to the relevant page on the Dollar website please? We'll be travelling out on Sunday, so if I can get our details on their system before then it would be great :D Didn't know anything about this online registration until this post, VH obviously aren't telling existing customers ;)

hello

Dollar will allow you to pre-register to save time when you pick up your car hire - however this is very new and is sometimes not working - here is the link.

Looks like we can only register when we get the vouchers.

This is a great service. My recent experience at the Miami Dollar was not great. The poor guy must have been new and had no idea how to enter our details onto the system, nobody there to help him either.

To be fair to Dollar, we've never actually been at the counter for more than a couple of minutes anyway. Both times we've used them (once at MCO, once at LAX) they've processed us through very quickly. Anything to help them out and get us on our way quicker though!

I've read this thread too late, I had trouble finding out how to go about this last week, but phoned a VH rep who talked me though it.

It's not very clear though I wouldn't have known about the above link if I hadn't called them.

Have done the online registration now though.

Good a service as itis, you can only 'pre-register' one driver via the website. This is a wee bit frustrating as my SO is sharing the driving responsibilities - obviously she'll have to provide details at the airport.

Yup, for that reason I never did pre-register our details. I didn't want to risk doing it with just my details, and then find that becuase I did it I couldn't then add my wifes details when we got to the counter at MCO. Having said that, because of our PE seats when we got to the counter it was empty so walked straight up, and got sorted out nice and quickly anyway! I don't think he actually asked for any details, just took our driving licenses, tapped a few keys, gave us a piece of paper and out we walked to the car!

I've always experienced good, quick, service at the LAX Dollar. But they do have as many people on the desks as are deployed at passport control.
