I don't think it needs to be that radical, there is a reasonable vibe coming from these threads about what passengers want from their UC Ameneity kit. It isn't radical, it isn't different, it is infact a previous incarnation of it.

VS50 is a term used to define the most frequent VS flyers. They carry a gold card but get certian extras. Its one of those undefined tier levels. You must travel on VS a bunch as tier point runs on SQ do not count.

Just returned on J from TAB and got a utility bag on both legs, differing colours, containing Molton Brown (nice) Toothpaste and brush, MB Hand and face lotion and mouthwash, and MB Lip Balm as well as socks and flight mask. The MB stuff is great and knowing how expensive it is in shops it makes it all the better and worthwhile for receiving them, and now we have it times 4 (wife and I).

VS are normally good in listening to what the crew say and think it may take a whike but they do in the end.

To be honest anything at the moment would be a million times better. Yep the socks keep the feet warm, shades keep most of the light out and the ear plugs - well tend to work. If they insist on the costco style pack why don't they add to the note inside saying what else is available for you to choice. I know a number of the US airlines do this so as least you can know what's on offer.

Better still dump them fast and bring back the good old day/night virgin vie ones[y]

Hi all,

Had the new style snooze pack on VS401 on Monday back from Dubai - we didnt have a basket of optional extras though (there were only about 20 pax in UC and 2 ifbt's) Has everyone else been offered the basket of additional items so far??

Ah but what is on offer?

and exactly how many people will ask for the xtras??

not many - i bet.

when I flown UC before - i feel kind of embarrassed to even ask for some more food from the 'freedom' menu. Dont want casue the crew additional work.

So would find it somewhat akward to ask for 'other stuff'.

I can't see why they just don't list what they have on board on the other side of the little bit of paper at least you then know what's on offer.

If you did did this the passengers may ask for stuff, that means they would need to buy in more stock. I'm sure the bean counters would but a stop to it - the thought all that money being spent wouldn't be good for their health.

Hey so perhaps we should start playing a game with the crew and guessing what we can ask for: "can I have the evian spritz please?", "Oh not on board how about some fake tan to top mine up before we land...... no? well what is there?" [:o)]

Awww what fun, knitting[:$]

Do people in UCS really repair clothes or darn socks[:p], I sort of throw my damaged clothes away[}:)].

Will there be an age defying tube of pentapeptide boswelox in the basket? Do Virgin still make condoms[:w]

Yes, but they don't fit, even if you make a few alterations to them with the sewing kit[:I]

Well I have to say that I am more than a little disappointed, I have my first UCS flight in august and was looking forward to a nice amenity kit for me and the missus. Can I still get the sleep suit?
