You can still buy condoms in the Virgin Megastores. Not sure if Virgin make them still. I think we sold to the mates brand.

I flew on the VS3 last weekend and was fortunate enough to get an opup to J from W. The new snooze pack came around and confirming what I feared, it is dreadful. Had I not been upgraded I would have written to VS and let them know my thoughts. I flew back from IAD last night in Premium and frankly believe that the Y amenity kit is better currently (or less embarrassing for the crew) than the J version.

VS need to wake up and listen to crew and customers - this move just looks cheap.

Also flew on VS3 last night ... socks and shades and a nice sticker holding the cardboard together. Toothpaste and brushes stuck in mugs in the lavs. Asked for moisturiser and none to be had. Actually, the crew were pretty vacant too.

IMO this will work if good quality additions are available - and easily available. And why not put socks and shades in with the sleep suits anyway.

That's not very hygenic is it. Please tell me the tooth brushes are at least sealed up in something.

And this is Virgins premium service. BA must be wetting themselves with laughter over this farce.[n]

Yes, they were at least wrapped, but as rsclt says, BA and others will be chortling in the aisles. Amenities stuck in mugs says it all about the attitude to good service. That said, I still think with a bit of thought this could be made to work well.

Perhaps the issue on the flight last night was the crew, the FSM was no where to be seen apart from handing out questionnaires, there was no control over the boarding and deboarding process, passengers (inc. me and around me) asked for things that didn't happen. As everyone says, a good crew makes a flight, a poor one doesn't!

I would think any airline that offer's a premium service is laughing, while they are improving their offering VS is just reducing them all around [:#]

Finally got my first taste of UC from LHR to PVG on the way to Seoul. All the good things I'll leave for my trip report when i finally get around to doing it, but i would like to add to this topic....

What a pile of pants! (Well socks and eyeshades actually)... Not even a pen to fill in my breakfast choice and landing card, and the toothbrushes are left in the toilet where you are never really sure if some absent minded person has already used it and put it back in the cup (I know i nearly did.... hung over after copious amounts of G&T)
I reckon you get more in Y now. Even KLM at typically half the price can manage a decent quality mini wash bag with lots of useful bits in and a Delft Minature house with BOLS in just before landing.

I hope the snooze pack is improved before my return in September.

'No frills' UC - now that's a new innovative idea!

Thats a brillient idea isn't it, on a man/lgw config the PE pax use the UCS loo all the time, so all the kids will be sent in by their parents to pinch the toothbrushes and anything else that isnt nailed down.

Will be interesting to see the "official" response if/when someone complains to Customer Services about this new "improvement".

I'm not travelling VS until August now, so won't get the chance to sample the delights of the Snooze Packs until then. Can I ask that those who feel strongly about this "enhancement" and who have experienced it directly, indeed do complain to Customer Services? Hopefully it won't take too many complaints for VS to see the error of their ways.

Actually, it's the whole toothbrush in the mug thing, reminds me of student days not premium class travel!

Well we received the usual OB kit on the attempted VS33 this morning. I was a tad surprised to see it so I assume there is a supply at LGW to run down.

However as we had to deplane and are currently waiting for the re-scheduled flight to leave I wonder if we will get a kit of any description on the next flight. I don't particulary care and left my kit unopened when I left the plane this morning as I brought a toothbrush and toothpaste on myself. I could use a pen though.

Right then I've had six bottles of Stella so Im off to findsh the nextsh plane..........did I mention I reallly respectshhhhh you guys!!!

Just flown to EWR and back from IAD. On the o/b they gave out a plastic pouch with eyeshades/ear plugs and socks. No mention of any extras and it looked dreadful. On the return there was the cardboard envelope with socks and eyeshades only; and then toothbrushes in the toilet in a plastic cup. Not very appealing and people were commenting about it.

That was cool Dave - you forgot the bits about helping to clean the plane beofre you get off and finding the previous passenger's sick bag in the seat pocket!!
