LGW summer A/C

Hi all,
Is there anymore news if VXLG will be transfered to LGW for the duration of the summer? Or for the for seeing future?

Hi Ash,

By my reckoning, the current LGW/MAN fleet of 7 aircraft is already fully utilised on a Thursday & Friday (2xLGW-MCO, 1xMAN-MCO, 1xLGW-LAS, 1xLGW-BGI and then 1 to HAV and 1 to TAB on a Thurs and 1 to ANU and 1 to UVF on a Friday).

As of July, MAN gets a second MCO service Thurs, Fri, Sat, and a new twice weekly Jamaica service starts, so this suggests LGW/MAN will need one more aircraft from then as the current fleet can't support this. VXLG would certainly be favourite for this transfer mainly as it is the only non VPort a/c at LHR. As for whether it stays at LGW after the summer I don't know, but if they convert it to LGW config, I can't see it then going back to LHR).

Unfortunately I don't have the insider knowledge to confirm this, but I'm sure someone around here does....
