Air Jamaica Z Class

Bit of help required if anybody knows?

A guy at work recently went on a VH trip to Jamaica, flight was with Air Jamaica as VS had not started the route yet, anyways he has since got back and sent his details off to claim miles etc but received a letter from VS saying that the ticket was a Z Class and was therefore non miles earning.

Is this true? I thought all VS partner flights earned miles or did i just dream that[:?]

Anyway, he is non too pleased so if anybody has any answers it would be most helpful [^]

Earning miles:
Miles will be issued to Flying Club members when travelling in the following qualifying classes:
Discounted Economy Class: V, B, Q, K, L, X
Economy Class: Y
Business Class: J, C
First Class: F

so no a Z earns nothing [:#]

thanks for the info Jetwet, looks as though he will have to be disapointed!

Just one thing, are VH allowed to book in this class, I guess the answer is yes, just like the book N class for VS but at least that earns miles now, slightly annoying though as no mention of the booking class was on any docs received from VH [V]
